We are a non operating Vessel Carrier, with an NVO license from the FMC.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS. DOCUMENTATION: Documentation must be sent to: E & M INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORT INC. by NOON on cutoff date. Shipper will be advised in writing as to documentation required for the export shipment. Failure to provide the required documents can result in delay of shipment and storage and Customs penalties or fines.
CONTAINER DELIVERY: We make every effort to deliver container to loading facility on time per your request, however a specific time can not be guaranteed due to many factors beyond our control.
TRANSIT TIME: Every effort is made to have Cargo arrive on time, many factors involved decide the Carriers schedule. All sailing dates and arrival dates are estimated dates.
SHIPPERS RESPONSIBILITY: Shipper must know and understand the Import Laws of the country they are shipping to and provide us with the correct Documentation required for the Import. Hazardous cargo must be declared along with A Hazardous Declaration advising UN# and all other details. Undeclared cargo will result in fines and penalties. Automobile shipments will need the Original Vehicle Title or MSO for Customs Clearance at port of export. AES filing: By law all exports with a value of $2500.00 and higher must be filed with US Customs.
US CUSTOMS/Exports/Imports: All cargo is subject to search by US Customs, cargo can be held or confiscated with or without warning. Charges incurred for these inspections are to be paid by Shipper, cargo will be on hold until payment in full is received. Customs Clearance .
CUSTOMS CLEARANCE: Consignee is responsible for clearing of Cargo at destination.
PAYMENT & METHOD: We accept Money orders, Company Check, Cashiers check, Wire transfers. Payment must be prior to release of any shipping documents/release of cargo.
MARINE CARGO INSURANCE: Purchase is recommended. There are 2 options: all risk Coverage or Total Loss only. All cargo must be packed properly for export to be eligible for above coverages. Carriers limited Liability Coverage: Full containers /$500.00 per unit, Hawaii /Guam shipments 0.10/Pound for any cargo damaged or lost. I have read and agree to the terms and conditions.
